The Environment Crusader

Subhajit Mukherjee, "The Environment Crusader", is credited with driving the mass movement of Tree Plantation in and around Mumbai. By planting over 82,000 trees, he has amplified the green cover of Mumbai, earning him the title of "The Green Man."

He is on a mission to address all those issues which are crucial for retaining the natural resources of planet Earth — and tree plantation is one of these. He envisions inspiring every individual to grow their own oxygen by planting a tree today.

He expresses: without planting trees, an individual does not have the right to breathe.

Mobilizing volunteers in tree planting drives across Mumbai and its suburbs under the "Each One, Plant One" philosophy. 82,000+ trees planted and counting.

Sustainable mulching techniques to retain soil moisture, reduce weeds, and improve growing conditions for newly planted saplings and urban green spaces.

Plowing

Expert land preparation services to restore degraded soil for tree plantation and farming initiatives, improving aeration and water infiltration across zones.

Regular maintenance of green areas and newly created green cover, ensuring healthy growth and sustainable landscaping across all plantation sites.

Germinating seeds from natural sources like discarded mango stones into healthy saplings for distribution to farmers, schools, and communities across Maharashtra.

Encouraging urban and rural farming through bamboo cultivation and farmer support, promoting fresh produce under the National Bamboo Mission.

Rainwater harvesting structures ensuring 150+ Crore Litres saved. 2,900+ animal water bowls installed to support all forms of life in the community.
