Mission Green — A Citizen-Led Movement for a Greener Future

Since 2010, Mission Green Mumbai has been a community-powered environmental movement founded by Subhajit Mukherjee, an environmentalist based in Mumbai. The initiative is committed to increasing Mumbai's green cover, promoting eco-friendly living, and inspiring citizens to take part in climate action.

    Tree Plantation & Adoption — "Each One, Plant One" Over 2,168+ volunteers have participated in tree plantation drives across Mumbai and its suburbs, nurturing urban biodiversity.

    Improving Tree-to-Person Ratio With Mumbai having just one tree for every four residents, Mission Green aims to plant and nurture 1 crore (10 million) saplings — targeting one tree per person.

    #MissionMango — Mango Seed Collection Drive During mango season, the team collects discarded seeds and germinates them into saplings. These are distributed to farmers impacted by floods, cyclones, and other climate crises.
